As a Steel Partners company, we're a proud supporter of Steel Sports, a social impact organization with the mission of inspiring youth to reach their potential — both on and off the field. We stand with Steel Sports in putting Kids First and forging a path of success for the next generation of leaders by helping kids thrive, instilling values and teaching life lessons through sports.
On Monday, August 21, in honor of World Senior Citizen's Day, we were able to give back to our local community in a small but impactful way. We provided breakfast for over 70 residents and staff at the Owens Manor apartment complex, which is managed by the Dover Housing Authority. Located in Dover, Delaware, Owens Manor provides affordable housing to senior citizens with lower income in our community. During breakfast, we received lots of thank you's and were overwhelmed by the appreciation from both staff and residents!
At HandyTube, we’re a company with a big heart for our community and a passion for making a positive impact. In honor of National Coloring Book Day on August 2nd, our employees donated various art supplies — including coloring books, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, glue sticks and highlighters — to the John S. Charlton School, which serves special needs students throughout Kent County, Delaware. Students in the John S. Charlton Program, aged two to 21, receive special education services to learn functional life skills and enhance their level of independence. We’re proud to do our part to make our community a better place!
At HandyTube, we believe in giving back to the community. That’s why this week we’re hosting the Steel Sports “Kids First Road Show,” which brings fun and engaging camp experiences to Steel Partners businesses across the country this summer. We’re proud to say we were the first operating company to reach capacity for registration.
