All quality systems are fully documented and satisfy or
exceed ISO 9001 certification requirements.
Raw material is reviewed in house for
compliance including:
- Technical review of supplier material certification and
chemical analysis
- Each lot is sampled to confirm dimensions, surface cleanliness
and grain structure and alloy is confirmed with mass spectrometer.
Every
step of the manufacturing process has built in quality
checks to assure compliance with the detailed manufacturing
guidelines and customer requirements.
Heat treating is a full
solution anneal in a vacuum furnace that ensures all residuals
from the drawing process are removed and the annealed properties
are consistent throughout the length.
Each finished coil
is hydrostatically tested to meet or exceed the ASTM specification
requirements and level wound onto wooden reels or spool-less
wound.
Prior to shipment, each production lot is statistically
sampled and tested in our metallurgical lab to the requirements
of the order. Samples are retained as a permanent record
and final material certification reports are provided with
the shipment.
All quality measurement data is consistently reviewed to
search for trends and to cite opportunities for continuous
improvement.
