John Coates joined the Handy & Harman Specialty Tube Company, of which HandyTube Corporation is a Division, in September of 2003 and his current title is President & CEO. Through John's visionary leadership and direction, HandyTube Corporation has experienced positive change that has resulted in significant growth in the organization on a foundation of providing excellent customer service, quality and continuous improvement. Under John's leadership, critical resources have been upgraded in sales, quality, engineering, human resources, finance and operations.

John has put in place a capable, dedicated and focused team to aggressively go after the many global opportunities that exist for HandyTube Corporation. John joined Handy & Harman in June of 1999 working across several of the Precious Metals Divisions. Prior to that, his experience included Product, Quality and Plant Management working his way into Operations due diligence and integration for the General Signal Corporation and Gerber Scientific. John is well versed in all areas of business management. John's strength is continuously exhibiting the ability to instill enthusiasm and motivation throughout entire organizations that results in profitable growth while remaining focused on improved performance for our customers. John received his Industrial Engineering degree from Clarkson University in New York.
